His employment history includes underwriting positions at major P&C companies as well as building the fifth largest insurance brokerage in California (out of 8, 000). After selling his company to the world’s largest insurance broker, Aon, he advised 20 of Aon’s industry practice groups on how the Reinsurance, Retail P&C, Benefits Consulting and Wholesale Distribution groups might partner together by industry. During his brokerage tenor, he oversaw Managing General Agencies (MGAs) with five major P&C carriers, and was the owner of a Managing General Agency in Boston himself specializing in alternative occupational accident coverage and medical stop loss, further enhancing his underwriting credentials.
In addition, Robert M. Anderson held 18 board positions, including regional NASDAQ underwriters, as well as co-founding five technology startups in the insurance space. He has always been at the forefront of covering emerging exposures, including recently advising a top five accounting firm on Cyber Liability policies for its Private-Equity Clients.
